I met these two when I first shot John’s mothers wedding earlier in the year. They were so sweet and so very comfortable in front of the camera, a photographer’s dream. So naturally when they asked me a few months later to shoot their engagement photos and their upcoming wedding I was thrilled. Currently living in California, Stephanie and John made the trek up to the Pacific Northwest to do their engagement photos. We decided to forego sleep and take on a double shoot day; sunrise photos at the Voice of America bluffs in Sequim, and then headed out West of Port Angeles for a sunset session at the always scenic heaven, Olympic National Parks Lake Crescent. I love sessions like this because it is so hard to let someone into your intimate space with your partner, especially when they have a large camera pointed at your face, and they jumped into this shoot with their hearts open. Documenting a love like theirs is one of the absolute best parts of my job. I am over the moon excited for their wedding. Oh and they have the absolute best doggo, so there’s that!
