Vintage car lovers, this one’s for you. Harley + Brynn looked cool as shit in front of this car for their super uniquely-themed couples pictures. Plus, the light we got was to die for! This gallery is going to make you crave a vintage couples session of you & your boo.
Harley + Brynn
I photographed these lovebirds in Sequim, WA last year and we had a beautiful evening together. We spent it in a dry wheat field at golden hour, running around the sun-covered grass and hangin’ out in front of the coolest vintage car.
I styled this shoot and am obsessed with how it turned out! The vintage, running-off-into-the-sunset romantic comedy vibes get me every time I look through the gallery. Harley’s family’s car was the perfect prop for the vintage look we were going for!
I wanted to do something more than just the photos so, I decided to make a short film from the session to show off the intended vibe of this shoot: old cars & young love. Watch it below to get all those nostalgic feels that’ll make you wanna listen to country music with your love & drive right into the sunset together.
The props & accessories
Photoshoots can be beautiful even if they’re simple! Especially, if the goal is to capture the love you have for your partner. However, if you want to be intentional about having a certain feel show through the photos, props & accessories are the way to go!
Along with the cool-ass black car, we brought along a deep orange patterned blanket, a couple of wicker baskets, a small flower bouquet, a faux fur rug, a mini disco ball, & plenty of outfit accessories. All of these combined created a super bohemian + vintage feel.
All that plus Harley + Brynn’s denim jackets, hats, & vintage-looking clothing created the perfect atmosphere for some nostalgic feels and sunset romance. Jackets & layers are the best way to add variety to your outfits without having to change throughout your session.
Bring along a few tanktops/undershirts, cute bralettes, flannels, and jackets of different materials – and you’ll be good to go. All you’ve gotta do is take off + put on layers throughout your shoot and as the sun goes down! That + different earrings/rings/jewelry + hats = the perfect way to rock different looks throughout your couples pictures.
