Brooklynne + Hunter’s Low Key Elopement in Port Angeles
Getting ready in a cozy Lake Sutherland cabin
These two made the decision to get ready in a lovely Airbnb nestled in the forest. Where they could enjoy a private & intimate setting. Brooklynne did her own hair & makeup with the help of her best friend and bridesmaid. She added a little flair to her simple, chic accent braid with a hairpiece made of baby’s breath. A beautiful touch and nod to the earthy location of their elopement.
I’m a big supporter of renting out an Airbnb for you to get ready in. You can also have it available for whatever type of evening celebration you might have! Either by yourselves or with loved ones. You can find cozy cabins on Lake Sutherland like the one Brooklynne + Hunter rented here!
A first look in the trees
Once they’d both finished off their Rainiers & gotten all dolled up for the day. Brooklynne + Hunter headed to the forest for a private, peaceful first look among the trees. It truly was the most magical setting for them to see each other for the first time. They could be present in the moment and not worry about any people, sounds, or distractions around them.
Vow exchange on Lake Sutherland
They wanted to keep their vows between the two of them. So they held their ceremony privately on the dock of their cabin. Decorated with accent rugs, vintage glassware, boho florals, and candlesticks. This peaceful lakeside vow exchange was the perfect way for them to promise the rest of their lives to each other. It’s times like these where I feel such extreme privilege. Silently witnessing an intimate moment in time that only the couple will hold in their memories.
A lakeside charcuterie picnic
Now they couldn’t head out without grabbing a little food – in the form of a stunning charcuterie board that they ate on the dock! What more could you want than to sit on the lake, eating off of a gorgeous tray of finger foods right after you tie the knot?
Family time, shots, & sunset portraits at the Salt Creek Recreational Area
Since they opted for a private ceremony with just the two of them, Brooklynne + Hunter met up with their closest family members at the Salt Creek Recreational Area later that evening. They enjoyed the company of their loved ones in one of the most beautiful spots on the peninsula, where they ended the evening doing shots & taking sunset portraits by the ocean (and even hopping in the water for a few photos).
Now, these two are expecting their first baby together and I could not be more overjoyed for them. Grateful I got to capture this special day for them!
