“It was Christmas 2020, ending one of the craziest years.
It is our family tradition to always read the true meaning of Christmas; the story of Jesus’ birth. Justin volunteered to read the story (he absolutely 1. does not like reading 2. does not do well speaking in front of others) I was completely shocked that he volunteered, but didn’t think too much of it.
As he finished the story, he looked at me, got down on one knee, gave me a beautiful speech about our love and life together, and popped the question!”

Bonney Lake wedding vendors
When I asked Nicole for details about the wedding vendors she hired, here’s what she told me!
“One of my biggest goals for our wedding was to use as many local (small business) vendors as possible.
Our flowers were from Sandy Dubsky from An Occasion Flowers in Enumclaw. My sister used her for her wedding and our flowers turned out beautiful!
Our cakes, cupcakes, and rice krispie treats came from Wanna Cupcake in Puyallup.
Our decor was from The Meaningful Details, who we adore SO MUCH! She just announced about a month ago, that will be retiring!”

Wedding advice from Nicole
I love asking my couples what advice they would give to future couples. To me, that’s the best way to learn what you can change to make your own intimate wedding day as amazing as possible.
Here’s some beautiful advice from Nicole:
“If there was one thing I wish went differently about our wedding, it would simply be time. Every bride will probably tell you the same thing.
Amongst the chaos of staying on time, making sure all last-minute details are done, kids are fed & napped, finishing vows (I actually highly recommend finishing the day-of to be in all of the feels) & trying to keep your cool, you lose sight of time.
Time to talk with those you haven’t seen in a while, time to hug those who helped make your day so special. Time to sneak away with your husband for a few moments alone as newlyweds…some moments are a blur, but this is a day I will never forget & I never want to.
I’ve dreamed about this day since I was a little girl, most of us do. At some point in my life, I feared I would never get married. My wedding day was truly all of my dreams come true.
To the next bride-to-be: soak up every single second, sneak away with your husband to just be one with each other. Talk to your great aunt who traveled hours to see you. Hug your vendors who worked their butts off & be in the moment. It goes by in a blink.”
