Dorothy + Jordan tied the knot at Lake Crescent Lodge last fall, celebrating their love with their closest family and friends on the lake. These sweet, sweet humans will give you all the Olympic National Park wedding inspiration. Especially if you’re dreaming up a similar Washington national park wedding.
Dorothy + Jordan’s lakeside elopement
Dorothy + Jordan are two of the sweetest humans. I adore them beyond words. This is why it was super shitty when their wedding planning was happening right at the peak of the COVID madness in 2020. Like many couples, their original plans got completely thrown down the drain. Tossed out the window. Whatever you wanna call it. It was rough.
But these two stayed the sweetest, fun couple ever and I’m so damn grateful for the time I got to spend with them, even if it looked a little different than they first planned. I truly have no words for the stunning display of love that was their elopement day. And I cannot WAIT for their big 2022 wedding bash they’ve got coming up!
About Lake Crescent Lodge
They tied the knot with a lakeside elopement at Lake Crescent Lodge, a lodge that – you guessed it – sits on Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park.
Lake Crescent is a favorite location of mine because it’s only about 18 miles away from Port Angeles (making it super easy for me to make it back to my little ones after a session there). It’s super accessible, with gorgeous lake views and epic forested areas.
This lodge is the perfect place for an elopement if you want somewhere with plenty of variety, while still being accessible to nearby towns + without having to hike. Dorothy + Jordan did their first look in the trees with the sun glistening through, exchanged vows only feet away from the water, and finished the night with glowing sunset portraits in the forest + celebrating with their loved ones inside the lodge.
Small wedding ceremonies at the lodge
Lake Crescent Lodge has an intimate “Moments in Time Meadow” that they offer for small wedding ceremonies, with lake views + trees surrounding you everywhere. The sit is available from May through September (weather permitting), so it’s a beautiful place for small ceremonies with your closest loved ones!

A little peek behind the scenes
Want to see some behind the scenes of me and this gorgeous bride? Take a look at the vid below!
When you hire me you get a lot. . . you get a photographer, a videographer, a friend, someone to remind you to breathe. Someone to take a shot with you, someone to make jokes and help you relax, someone to tape your boobs into your dress and love on you alllll day.
I don’t want to just stand there and take photos. Anyone can do that. I eat your food, drink your drinks, dance to your music, and in return, I bring my whole self and my whole heart into your wedding day to truly create magical memories. I’m in this with you. No half-assing it, ever!
