Being able to photograph a two bride wedding has long been a dream of mine. I mean, come on, TWO beautiful white dresses?! When I met Jillian and Melissa at a little bar and pizza shop to talk about their wedding, I knew it was going to be a long lasting friendship. They were kind, funny, and oh-so in love, every photographers dream. We talked about their big plans and what was most important to them, and when Melissa said “Our priorities for that day are amazing memories, kick ass photos, and a lots of booze”, I thought ‘this is my kinda wedding’. When June 24th finally arrived, it could not have been a more beautiful day. Sunny and 70 degrees, with a light breeze, and wedding goers packed into kayaks! That’s right, I said kayaks. Jillian and Melissa said their vows atop a small bridge over Lake Crescent, nestled in the stunning Olympic National Park, and anyone who wanted to watch, had to get there by kayak!
Hair and Makeup for these two lovely ladies was done in downtown Port Angeles at Bliss Salon!
After the gorgeous, sunshine-filled ceremony, everyone headed back to rinse off and get ready for the reception at the Harbinger Winery. Wedding papers were signed, wine was sipped (or chugged), and games were played! These two finished up their magical day with so many friends and family members by their sides. It was truly a wedding day for the books!
Jillian and Melissa, congratulations on finding your person. I am so thankful to have been able to capture your day, and I can’t wait for wine tasting and pizza and beers with you both! I am so lucky to be able to call you both friends. Cheers!
